Schmidt-Curley has followed a general building philosophy that has proven successful in developing courses world-wide: design a course that is demanding, yet beautiful and enjoyable, one that stirs the senses and elevates the players' appreciation for the land and his own game.
The emphasis at Schmidt Curley is always on courses that adapt to the land around them, not the other way around. In this way, the team creates golf courses that are player-friendly for all levels of play while having the smallest possible impact on the natural environment.Schmidt-Curley recognize and “embrace the moral as well as the legal obligations associated with the development world today. They keep a delicate balance between the needs of the golfer and the needs of the environment—always leaning more toward the environment.
